Split Second Skills Training programs are the best place for players to learn to play the RIGHT way. We make sure players get hundreds of supervised repetitions to build great habits, before going into small group competitions and games to test their learning.

In our Skills Training programs, coaches follow a comprehensive SSB curriculum to help players develop great habits in the major fundamental skills. Start with the details and drills to help you master shooting, dribbling, passing and footwork. As you progress, you’ll learn more advanced concepts and go into greater depth on the details.

Program Types

 

We run several different Skills Training classes and camps. Here are 3 of our most popular programs.

Fundamental Skills Training

Our original “Skills Training” programs have a different main focus each session including shooting, ball handling, passing, rebounding, defence and footwork. Look for BOYS ONLY or GIRLS ONLY in the title, otherwise our programs are CO-ED.

Competition and Games

While a portion of all our classes and camps feature competition and games, this program takes it to the next level. We expedite our skill development sessions to leave more time available for competitive games like 3-on-2 Continuous, Full and Half-court games, 1-on-1 Ladders etc.

Mini Skills

A great way for players with little experience (level 1) to develop a love of basketball and to start building a foundation of skills. We concentrate on fun drills/games that develop fundamental movement patterns and skills.
