Inaugural Snowball Classic: championships for McBride + MG Wildcats…fun for everyone!

On January 27th and 28th, 2024, the inaugural Snowball Classic, featuring Grade 6/7 teams from elementary schools in Vancouver and Richmond, culminated in a thrilling championship game. The McBride Eagles etched their name in history with a hard-fought victory, capturing the hearts of spectators in BC’s best sporting facility, the Richmond Oval.

The Richmond Oval's courts, with their newly resurfaced courts and top-notch amenities, set the stage for an unforgettable tournament. Professional referees heightened the competition's intensity, ensuring fairness and precision in every play.

Adding to the excitement, the young athletes embraced the thrill of performing on a grand stage, playing in front of an excited crowd of their peers and parents. The inaugural Snowball Classic not only crowned the McBride Eagles as champions but also witnessed the Maple Grove Wildcats shine, clinching victory in the team shooting contest with their impressive teamwork and skill.
