COBRA COMMUNITY DAY COMING APRIL 10TH, 2023

COBRA COMMUNITY DAY

APRIL 10TH, 2023

WHAT IS COBRA COMMUNITY DAY (CCD)?

Cobra Community Day is a chance to have everybody playing on a Cobra team together in the VTT gym to celebrate the start of our Spring season and to:

  • Have fun with some cool, interactive events

  • Introduce players and parents to the bigger Split Second community including other teams, coaches, administrators and the support team that they don’t get to see at practice every day

  • Give players their merchandise and uniforms

  • Give players a chance to get some great individual pictures

  • Give players and parents a brief overview of the season and a chance to ask any questions about travel etc.

  • Help players and parents understand the tools we have in place (SSB smartphone app, Cobra Newsletter plus XPS and chat groups for older teams)

  • Give parents a chance to meet each other and be in contact regarding carpooling or other travel arrangements

Please come out on Monday April 10th at your assigned time. Everybody who already has a uniform, needs to bring both home and away versions (or reversible for younger teams) with them to the CCD for their photo.

THINGS TO DO AT COBRA COMMUNITY DAY

SPRING MERCH GRAB

We’ve got some exciting new gear coming for our Cobra Spring team and uniforms for players who are new to the Cobras. It’s always a tight turn around between ordering and our suppliers shipping us the gear…but we have been promised it will all be ready for us on April 10th. If you can’t make your assigned time on Monday April 10th, please come to VTT any time before 9:30pm on Monday the 10th to pick up your merch.

PHOTOSTOP

Josh Bowie is the award-winning professional photographer behind Josh Bowie photography (weddings, Bar Mitzvahs and family shots), awesome dude and a coach at Split Second. Josh will be taking individual and team photos…so please bring your uniforms unless you’re picking up a new one at CCD.

WHAT’S MY VERT?

Meet the team of experts at Saltus Athletics and test your speed and vertical against your teammates.

MEET OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERS

Our fantastic community partners, who provide invaluable support to the Cobra program, will join us for an afternoon of fun.

PARENT MEETING

Our Split Second team works really hard to be well organized and good communicators. In the middle of CCD…during the time we are all gathered together as one group…we will have a parent meeting where we go over some of the communication tools we have in place, expectations for players and answer any questions that you may have.

We really look forward to seeing Cobra players and parents in the gym at your assigned times on Monday April 10th.
