Learning HOW to train is just as important as the training itself. Too often players waste time training on their own not knowing what to work on. At Split Second we want players to take control of their own development by learning to train the right way.

This is a huge step in your personal development as a basketball player and can lead to taking the next step in your game. These guided workouts include great drills used by university and professional players. They are structured to train the fundamental skills every player MUST have such as shooting and ball handling….and also develop more advanced skills to help you reach your PEAK performance.

The Online Workouts are intended for Intermediate (Level 2/3), Grade 7+ players who are serious about basketball and passionate to train on their own. Players also need access to a phone and be able to follow along on the user friendly Training App.

Take Your Coach On The Go

Our Online Courses are an easily accessible and affordable program designed to support player development through instruction, drills and training sessions.

This Online Course focuses on RIM FINISHES and provides a coaches breakdown of specific finishes that interactively takes you through a progression of drills that adds complexity and intensity with each layer you are taken on. This course includes progressions in finishes such as power layups, scissor steps, spin moves, euro steps and more!

The Online Course also includes great drills and full workouts where players train multiple times per week to get the most out of the skills they are developing.

Here’s how:

The Online Course is intended for players in Grades 5+ who are at an Intermediate (Level 2/3) level. It is most appropriate for players who have played some basketball and passionate to train on their own. Players will also need access to a smartphone and able to follow along on with the user friendly Training App. For the younger age range, it is helpful to have an adult support with the Online App during the session.

Do I have to do the workout on the particular day that it is given?

No. The Online Training Programs are meant to be flexible. Players can go back and do previous sessions, do sessions in the future or repeat sessions.. It is easy and accessible!

Do I need any extra equipment?

All that is required in the Online Training Programs are a ball and a hoop.

It is helpful to have a few objects (like a t shirt or pair of shoes) that can be used as a marker.

How long do I have access to the training account for?

You will have access to the XPS training account for 6 months. This allows you to repeat sections of the training if you want and train on your own schedule.

Do you need a partner to pass or rebound?

No, a second player is not required. All the workouts and drills are designed so that one player can complete the workouts on their own.

However, a partner passing or rebounding can also help the efficiency and speed of the drill in many cases.

How long is a typical workout?

The typical workout is between 45 Minutes and 75 Minutes depending on the skill portion and the level of the player.

How do I access my account?

We will email you your account information including your username and login.

At any time if you lose your access you can always email Split Second Basketball and we will be able to resend your account information.

What size court do I need?

All the drills are made for a half court and can be modified for a smaller half court like a backyard or the street.
